Merrifield Named to American League All-Star Team

Former South Carolina Baseball star and current Toronto Blue Jay outfielder Whit Merrifield has been named an All-Star for the American League. This is Merrifield's third All-Star selection. He was previously named to the team in 2019 and 2021.

Merrifield's Accomplishments

Merrifield is a three-time All-Star (2019, 2021, 2023), three-time AL stolen base leader (2017, 2018, 2021), and a two-time Silver Slugger (2018, 2019). He is one of the most versatile players in the league, having played all over the infield and outfield during his career.

Merrifield is a key part of the Blue Jays' success this season. He is batting .306 with 10 home runs and 30 RBIs. He is also tied for the league lead with 17 stolen bases.

The All-Star Game will be played on July 11th at T-Mobile Park in Seattle, Washington.
